Last month we had a few pieces about the venting qualities of the Z emblems on the early Z's that are located just aft of the rear quarter windows and about how some of them had been installed backward. At the time I thought: This is cool info, but exactly how do I get those little emblems off without wrecking them. No sooner than the newZletter had gone to press than a few other people on the 240 list had the same question. Here are their answers:
From: Robert
"....I just popped mine out using a flat gasket scraper (I'm also not putting them or any other ornaments back on after I paint mine). You can always practice on a junker at the wrecking yard first though just to get 'the feel' for it first. They come off pretty easily though. Just go slow and easy and everything'll be fine."
From: Doug Antelman
"I used a thin putty knife to pry them off. They are a press fit, no special tools needed."
